The Allied Forces Foundation Pipes and Drums

Along with directors Stephen Cain and Mark Beaumont, AFF Pipe Major Terence McGovern was invited to the renaming of the British Garden at Hanover Square on May 2nd, and piped at the commencement of the ceremony. Henceforth, with a view to being more inclusive of all Commonwealth and allied nations, the garden is to be known as the "Queen Elizabeth II September 11th Garden". Others in this picture include the Dean of Westminster, NYC Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe and the Australian, Canadian and British Consul-Generals. The Allied Forces Foundation Pipes and Drums are all volunteers. We are non-political. We honor the US-British Alliance, and all our steadfast comrades in the current campaigns. We will welcome Pipers and Drummers of all nationalities who share the simple & common aims of honoring those who fight for us.

February, 2011:
"It is my sincere honor to announce that after a unanimous vote, the Allied Forces Foundation Pipes & Drums is now the Official Pipe Band of the British (Memorial) Garden!
This honor has been bestowed on this band because of the selfless commitment that each and every one of you continues to make. You should all be very proud as I am, and excited about the possibilities that this type of honor will present us with.
Well done everyone, and keep up the great work."
