Scott Davidson Team "SideXSide" for the 2011 Marine Corps Marathon
No team better demonstrates the unified diversity & commitment of the
Allied Forces Foundation than our team "SideXSide." We have British
and American. We have veterans who have fought in the same conflicts
at the same time. We have serving team members. We have a gallant and
wounded Navy flier. And we have a Physician Assistant who reminds us of ALL the
caregivers to whom we owe so much.
Together we are joined in one team to raise awareness and funds for a single cause: that of Team Azalea
Charities and the huge work it does for our wounded American and
Allied comrades.

The following biography is left here on this page in Scott Davidson's honour. Read his full obituary here.
Lance Corporal Scott Davidson was an infantry rifleman with B Company 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion. Keeping with an honored family tradition of military service; Scott enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves immediately upon graduating from high school in 2007. While in the Reserves Scott was working towards his Bachelors degree in Business Administration with the ultimate goal of moving to active duty and eventually earning a commission as an officer.
Scott was a martial artist at heart; who fell in love with combative sports after his first wrestling season in his freshman year of high school. After winning county and regional wrestling championships, Scott transitioned into competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, while simultaneously training in Muay Thai.
As a fighter who ran to train for competition, The Marine Corps Marathon was to be a new and exciting challenge for Scott. After learning about Team Azalea Charities he decided the best way to run the Marine Corps Marathon was in support of a great cause; his wounded brothers and sisters in arms.
